Twilight
Is this just an illusion? If I reach up, can I touch the sky? Am I a grounded bird, a caged mouse? The sky is real, the world is not. If I grew wings And soared into the twilight, When all boundaries merge and the iron gate creeks open, I would escape the net And blend into the night. The light slips over me, The silvery twilight engulfs me. Through the haze, pure pearls glitter. They hypnotize me… Pulled into a silent submission, My voice caught in my throat, I cannot make a sound. Mute and alone, Pristine droplets descend past my lips, As I submerge myself into the dark pit of despair. A whirl of light comes nearer As seraphs drift effortlessly towards me. They bring with them a sensation, Nostalgic and freeing. I spread my wings and try to fly. But Will you catch me if I fall? Or will I plummet in the twilight… Current Location: Home Current Music: None
